There are so many reasons that V-Day is THE WORST, but my “favorite” is the environmental damage it causes. Here in SF, finding locally-grown flowers is pretty easy, but our regional farms can’t possibly meet the demand levels around V-Day. So ladies, if you haven’t already asked your significant others to please *not* get you flowers this week, here’s a good article on the damage to which you are contributing: How Your Supermarket Flowers Empty Kenya’s Rivers.
