We Built This City

I take pictures of things around San Francisco (especially Sutro Tower and dogs) with my iPhone 4 and occasionally Olympus EPL-2 (the "good camera"). They're often blurry, particularly in low light. Such are the limits of a camera phone. Broadcasting live from Glen Park, a/k/a "Little Switzerland." Twitter @TheRealWBTC. E-mail me if you're so inclined: xggxggx@gmail.com. If you don't get the title, here's an explanation: http://bit.ly/1WGCZ9. For EVEN MORE Sutro Tower, check out The Sutro Tower Fan Club. And finally, no, they're not Greyhounds, they're Whippets.

Greyhound Lovers to Protest S.F. Skechers Store over Super Bowl Ad

Well, I’m a jerk because I didn’t know about this until after it happened. But while it’s too late to attend the protest, it’s not too late to BOYCOTT San Francisco’s two Skechers stores — in the Mission and at Union Square… and to refrain from buying Skechers shoes anywhere else.

If you don’t feel like reading the link, Skechers aired a Superbowl ad that glamorized/legitimized dog racing — a practice that is such a cruel exploitation of one of my favorite breeds, the greyhound, that it is already illegal in most states. What’s more, several animal groups petitioned Skechers in advance of the ad, asking them to pull it, and Skechers refused.

So BOYCOTT SKECHERS, please! If you want to read more, click here.

Rocket and Chase thank you!
